Spurs Defeat Lakers 109-99 in Summer League Action

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 109-99 in NBA Summer League action on Wednesday night at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan led the way with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while guard Blake Wesley added 18 points and 7 assists. Center Charles Bassey also had a strong performance with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The Lakers were led by guard Austin Reaves, who scored 23 points. Center Thomas Bryant added 18 points and 10 rebounds, while guard Max Christie chipped in with 16 points. The Spurs shot 48.2% from the field, including 40.0% from three-point range. The Lakers shot just 40.8% from the field, including 28.6% from three-point range. The Spurs also outrebounded the Lakers 50-37 and had 18 assists to the Lakers' 14. With the win, the Spurs improve to 2-1 in Summer League play. The Lakers fall to 1-2.
