Ash Barty and Garry Kissick Welcome First Child

Australian tennis legend Ash Barty and her husband, Garry Kissick, have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Hayden. The couple shared a photo of their newborn on Instagram on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

A Joyous Occasion

"We are thrilled to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Hayden," Barty wrote in her post. "He is the greatest gift and we are so grateful for his safe arrival." Kissick added, "We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives as a family of three. Hayden is truly a blessing." Hayden is the first child for both Barty, 26, and Kissick, 29. The couple married in 2022 after announcing their engagement in 2021.

A Tennis Legacy

Barty is one of the most successful tennis players in recent history. She won three Grand Slam singles titles (the Australian Open in 2022, the French Open in 2019, and Wimbledon in 2021) and was ranked world number one for 114 weeks. She retired from professional tennis in March 2022.
