Giannis Agent Alex Saratsis Named Co-Managing Director of Octagon Basketball

Evanston, Ill. -- Former Northwestern University men’s basketball star Alex Saratsis has been named co-managing director of Octagon Basketball, according to a Yahoo Sports report. Saratsis, a senior director of global operations at Octagon, has been a key figure in the growth of the agency's basketball division. He has represented some of the biggest names in the sport, including two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. In his new role, Saratsis will oversee the day-to-day operations of Octagon Basketball and work to expand the agency's reach in the global basketball market. He will also continue to represent a select group of high-profile clients. "Alex is one of the most respected agents in the basketball industry," said Octagon CEO Phil de Picciotto. "He has a proven track record of success and is known for his integrity and hard work. We are thrilled to have him lead our basketball division." Saratsis is a 2007 graduate of Northwestern University, where he was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and helped lead the Wildcats to the NCAA Tournament three times. He began his career as an agent with Wasserman Media Group before joining Octagon in 2019.
